Dear Motavation,

Warning: What you are about to read is a product of a major headache, high internal body temprature, and overall current bad mood. Proceed with caution. Sara Cody Major: Sociology Status: Almost Graduated Yup! That's me, "almost graduated"! That at least is what my roommates and I have named my current situation. I got the opportunity to walk this Spring and am just missing 4 credits. My initial thought is, "Really, what am I going to learn in 4 credits?" but I signed up for the classes anyway. So I am currently taking 2 online classes. 1 is about art, super boring lectures online and I am also required to go to performances. If I have learned anything in the last 4 years at USU, it is that if I am required to do ANYTHING, the motivation to get it done drops like to "negative a thousand!" My other class is Social Psychology. This is a psychology class that I have to take to be a sociologist?! OKAY?! That being said, the whole ...

'Kay Coach!

Last night, I promised Coach Christian (AKA boyfriend) that I would hit the gym with him this morning as long as he agreed that I could sleep in 'til 10 am. So, this morning, although I felt like poo (nice grown up word! I know!), I hit the gym. On the way Coach asked if I had a plan and I told him my plan was what whatever his plan was... clearly I was not thinking!!! We started off with some simple stretching.. I of course made a joke out of it, playing copy cat to whatever stretch he did, except exaggerating it to a bit of an extreme. Then the workout began. It was a circuit and I was expected to run from one exercise to the next all the way to the end! IT KICKED MY BUTT! Our workout was as follows (we did 3 sets of each, one set is 15 reps [on each side if applicable]): Dumbbell curls (at a weight you can do 3 sets with) paired with an oblique curl thing (with a dumbbell weighing as much as you can hold with just one hand, slowly lower the weight down below your knee, o...

My boyfriend cooks better than your boyfriend

I will challenge your boyfriend to a cook off with my boyfriend any day! Why is that? Because he is a phenomenal cook! I am the baker, he is the cook! Perfect match if I do say so myself! So here was my dinner tonight! Chicken (of his own creation) with parmesan asparagus, rice (not pictured) and an orange! It was fantastic! For the chicken he cut slits in it and inserted honey butter inside the slits. This made for really moist chicken! He then used his secret dry rub (that I don't even know the recipe to), sometimes I think he thinks he is a  pitmaster ! I do know that he used Kroger Cajun Seasoning and a Jerk Seasoning. He cooked it with the dry rub on for a while until it was almost done and then brushed on his secret sauce (once again... PITMASTER). So sorry I can't give you the recipe, but I'm telling you-- come visit us and he will cook for you! For the asparagus, just oil the greens, lay flat on the pan, and spread the (bottled) cheese and ba...

And I'm Back-- Just 3 cookies recipe!

So i know it has been awhile since I have posted... like ages, but I though I would blog again because I have found an amazing recipe!! So this recipe comes from a blog called "eating well, living thin" and there was  this recipe  for just one oatmeal cookie. Tonight Christian wanted a cookie but he has been on a health kick, so  I didn't want to make a whole batch and remembered posting this  on  Pinterest (follow me) ! I altered it a bit because Christian requested a peanut butter cookie so here it is. Combine in a small soup bowl: 1 Tbs  I Can't Believe it's Not Butter Spread 1 Tbs Peanut butter 1 egg, whipped 5 tablespoons oatmeal – Old-fashioned or Quick (I used Quick)* 4 tbs sugar Pinch of salt Shake of cinnamon Splash of vanilla *Because there is no flour, I added extra oats to firm it up a bit Mix all ingredients well and drop on a cookie sheet (or tinfoil on top of a cookie sheet for NO cleanup haha) and flatten sl...
