Tour de NYC

We got to take a 5 hour bus tour through Manhattan. We also got to take the ferry across the bay and then back and saw Liberty Island across the way. It was really hot! We also hit up Wall Street and other big areas in NYC. We also got to go into Central Park. Our tour guide took us in and showed us a few things with the big rocks (The park was man made to save some land for recreation in the city. So they had to blast away the rock that made up the island. When they took the rock out they put in in the ocean on an island that they didn't really care about at the time. That island later became Liberty Island!) He also showed us Strawberry Fields, which has no strawberries and no signs telling you what the plant is. Strawberry Fields was dedicated to John Lennon after he died, with the Imagine Circle at the tip or the tear drop. It is now the morning place for all celebrity icons when they die in New York. When we visited it on our tour there was nothing on it so it was a really co

Welcome to New York... in style

So we were trying to figure out how to get to our hotel from the bus station. Audra called our hotel and asked for suggestions and they said "oh we will have a limo waiting for you when you get off the bus." I guess we will take it? ha. So year we got to Chinatown and a Limo picked us up from there and took us to the hotel. We had a lot of fun just making jokes about that because who just takes a limo to their hotel? Once we got there we put out stuff in out closet of a room and then went to the Empire State Building. It was really hazy there but it was still cool to be up there.

Happy Birthday Mommy!

My mom's birthday happened to be closing ceremonies. Although Logan's team wasn't in the championship we still enjoyed it. I think this has to be my mom's favorite birthday for 4 reasons. 1. Baseball 2. We are at the birthplace of baseball 3. Fireworks 4. Me duh! The championship game was fun to watch. There were ups and downs and 2 girls playing. All the boys wanted their team to win because they were really cute girls. It was funny to watch these boys who are just deciding that girls are okay cheer for the girl. I got to hear silly things like, "OH!!! he just got picked of by a girl!" and "Give it to her ump... she's a girl!" so that was entertaining.

not another picture mom....

We never got sick of baseball... but we DID get sick of hearing "Sara, Rachel, BEN! stop right there so I can take your picture!" I don't think my mom got one picture of all of us looking, but we are still cute kids and she still loves us. I now want you to all notice Ben and Rachel have Cooperstown clothing on and i dont. this is because Johnny Cupcake is so dear to my heart that I passed up getting Cooperstown gear in order to get my shirt from my favorite store! :] Logan's team continued to do well and we were so excited. We watched at least 3 games a day and made friends with the Giants from Tennessee's parents. They were a fun group. I'm sad they didn't win it all.

Baseball Hall of Fame

We got the oppertunity to ride the train from the Dreampark to the city then go to the Baseball Hall of Fame. It was really cool to be there and see all the stories and such of all these amazing players, managers, men, and women of baseball. we first went through the room with all the inductees. There are so many of them. This is me standing next to someone, i'm not sure who it was but my mom was really excited about it! We then went to a movie about baseball. it was 13 minuets. PERFECT for my attention span! Audra then got a scavenger hunt for Logan so he could get a scout patch. Rachel and I tagged along with them as my mom and Ben enjoied the Hall of Fame together. We were them maybe another hour and a half and my brother and mom were there for 4 or 5 hours! I dont think I could have done that. After the Hall we went and looked around town at the shops and got some pizza before returning back to the park and then we went home.

Smoking on the Pier

After the games my dad wanted to take us to the lake in Cooperstown. It was so pretty! While we were there someone had found a new box of cigarettes. As Rachel snapped a picture of Logan, it looked as though Audra and I were standing on the pier smoking (my mom deleted it!). After she yelled it out we all started to laugh and walked back to the grass. It was just a silly moment that we will forever remember and laugh at.

Happy Birthday Logan!

The first day of games was super exciting! It was even better when the Hawgs won! it was also Logan's birthday but we couldnt get up early enough to make him some signs so after the first game we went home and made lots of posters that said silly things about it being his birthday. Being 13, he was very embarrassed, but you cant have a big game like that and not have birthday posters. After his game my dad and Logan got to come back home with us and we had birthday dinner our on the back patio deck thing. We had Spaghetti and his birthday "cake" was actually a cookie and it was really doughy! So yumm! We had so much fun and loved watching baseball all day, and had even more fun celebrating Logie's birthday.

Welcome to Cooperstown

Opening ceremonies was really... WET! there was a huge rainstorm that made it so they had to postpone the event until later that night. It was really exciting to see my dad and Logan walk in with their teams (yeah the umpires are a team I'd say!). Rachel got pulled out of the crowd and Ben and I were kinda jealous saying "Man it sucks to have a cute sister." That was until she came out in the ceremony to dance for everyone!!!! in a Cooperstown Mom t-shirt. ha that makes her almost 30 years old so I'm not jealous of her anymore!

Boston

a little late but here come the pictures of the last like 20 days! :] (i'm posting the 10-27 on the 27th! :]) So here I am. We were so glad to get to Boston. I was especially glad because that's where the JOHNNY CUPCAKE STORE is! You all need to visit it! AMAZING! so here i am getting into a cupcake holder warmer thing where they keep the shirts. Oh man that just made my trip! So in Boston we did a lot! We wlked down Newbery Street (which is where JC is!) and looked at all the stores. Went on a Duck Boat, which was fun because it was a tour of Boston on this boat that was driving on land, but then we got to the water and just went right on it! After that we went to a Red Sox game! That was also a lot of fun but we were so stinkin' tired after our long trip to the east. BUT the RED SOX WON!!! yaaaa!

I'm leaving on a jet plane

Wednesday night on the drive, the wind was so bad so Danielle and I decided to stay in Logan because she hadn’t seen my apartment yet. When we woke up we drove back to Chubbuck. While there I watched my family in a panicked rush pack, then loaded Audra’s car to go to Carla’s. We celebrated Cy’s birthday there and ate sloppy jos. He was so happy the family from Idaho was there. We left Carla’s at 8:30 for the airport. Our plane boarded at 10:35 and it was the longest plane rides of my life. I did get to see a lighting storm from above the clouds though so that was cool. Today’s picture is in the airport with Logan at the play land. we had to find random things to do to keep us awake.

Girl Cousins ONLY

Oh my goodness today was so so so fun! Camille, Danielle, Jordyn, Brittney, Rachel and I went to Lagoon for the day. It was a blast. I was so glad Britt got to come with us, but she felt bad the whole time because she has kids. She had fun though. We met in Ogden at 11:30 then went to McDonalds and got some lunch then to Subway so the sisters could each get a foot long to share for dinner. Rachel and I got a turkey foot long with all the veggies. She then took all my yucky veggies and I ate her extra meat. Everyone had a different ride they HAD to go on. Mine was the ferris wheel and a haunted house, we didn’t go on either of them. But we went on everyone else’s, so that was fun. The first time we went on the Colossis 4 of the 6 of us had a quick blackout on the loops. But then Danielle and I went on it again and didn’t black out the 2 nd time, so we chalked it down to dehydration. We got really wet on a couple rides. We kinda talked ourselves into going on Rattle Snake Rapid

Pack and pack

The only thing on my to do list today was to pack. Before packing each outfit I tried it on to make sure I liked how it fit and that I would wear it together, once again to make sure I didn’t panic and not like what I had. Packing took forever and a day. So I laid out the outfits, then ate lunch. Tried them all on, then ate dinner. Folded and packed then went to sleep. I took little breaks for random things. Chad came over this morning, just to catch up and talk, i looked sick (pic of the day). I haven’t seen him since before we got out of school so it was really exciting to see him. He is living in KK 19 this fall so he just stopped by and I gave him a quick tour of my apartment and then we chatted then he left. That was a fun break. Here are the Things I found out Tuesday: · I can’t move into the LLC early, nor move out of the KK late, therefore I am one week homeless. · Brittney is coming to Lagoon with us. · The makeup I put on Thursday will

Shopping maddness

I’m pretty sure that you could say I’ve lived this summer on the road. But anyways it is back to Logan for a few days! Today , on my way into Logan, my roommate for the fall, Shenan, called me and was like, “Hey, I’m in Logan want to do lunch?” We went to Olive Garden and it was really good and filling. It was great to just kinda sit down with her and get a feel for what she will be like. I’m way excited to live with her because she seems like a fun girl and we have a lot of the name interests (shopping). Speaking of shopping, I also went shopping today because my mom told me to (you can see for yourself… it’s on facebook in my summer 2009 photo album comments), she said, “Get off facebook and go shopping!” so I did. Logan is not a very exciting place to shop but I hit some good deals! I got lots of new clothes for New York and like them all, so I won’t have a panic attack because I don’t like anything I have to wear. After shopping I was exhausted, but still needed to pack. I laid eve

Flooded

After the storm of the century our street was closed and church was only Sacrament. Houses were flooded and there was not much to do until everything dried out. We ate dinner at Grandma’s then the little kids went and played in the LAKE at the park around the corner. There was a lot of water everywhere outside, but it was dry inside and I enjoyed being with the family, and faking Rachel's engagement with pink diamonds.

Independence Day

There once was a ward of chickens that were not going to church. Bishop Chicken went to the stake president, President Eagle, and told him of the problem in the ward. President Eagle told Bishop Chicken to get everyone to church that week and he would teach them what they needed to know. So everyone from the whole ward came to church (then some went home but the auxiliary leaders were there to collect them again) and President Eagle taught them to fly. First he taught them exercises to strengthen their wings, they could then go up in the air, but couldn’t land because their legs were too short. Then the stake president taught them stretches for their legs, and they could then fly and land. After the closing prayer they ward members were walking home and got hit by a truck. What can we learn from the chickens of the ward? Audra: that the chicken shouldn’t have crossed the road. Our family got the opportunity to feed the missionaries on the fourth of July. We had Hawaiian haystacks
