My 5 thankfuls

I just wanted to tell you the 5 things I am thankful for today.....

5. Friends... I know everyone says all of these but really I am so thankful for my friends. I have been super homesick these last few weeks and I have been blessed with 3 of the greatest friends back home! Camille, Kelly and Katie I just love all three of you SOOOO MUCH! I am so blessed to have these girls that support me 100% and want the best for me! They are truly the best! I am also thankful for friends who forget my birthday... because they remember eventually and are genuinely upset, and that lets me know they care.

4. ROOMMATES :] -- I truly do not think any girl is as lucky as me! These girls are my best friends! I can honestly say that I look forward to the weekend being over because i know that then all of them will be back home and at school with me!

3. MUSIC- Today in Church, I just realized how amazing music was. I mean I always knew but today it really hit me. We snag "Because I Have Been Given Much" for our closing song in Sacrament, and as I was leading I just realized that if I would have stood today to share my testimony, I would have said the exact same thing we sang as a ward family. I am so grateful that the Lord provided us with music so we could share his message and share our joy.

2. FAMILY! My mom, dad and sis got to come down for my birthday. I can not tell you a better way to celebrate your 21st birthday than to bring it in with family! This whole birthday weekend was just the most bestest birthday I have had in my life and it was because they were here. I LOVE MY FAMILY! and missed my brother dearly!
1. Christian Taylor Browne-Frazier. I really do not know where I would be without him! He truely is my best friend and makes me want to be a better me each and every day! I can't even put it in words... but this song sums it up....

Who Used All the Black Crayon?

Guys, I am used to about 14 views each post. That's it (which is weird, because I post every blog link to my family's Facebook group and there are 40 of us in there... Thanks guys!). I was not expecting that many hits on one post, but I got it, and it has sparked a lot of conversation that I feel to be very productive. I have been so honored by the respect I have been given from those who’s opinions differ from mine, and the dialogue we have been able to have on the matter of race in today's society. Some of the best conversations have come from the, "But why?" question. But why is that offensive? On Facebook I shared this Vox link , so I won't get into that, but I do want to take some time to talk about taking offense. Life is a collection of experience. After one is written into our book, the next experience will be affected because of it. In kindergarten, I had a true Corrina, Corrina experience in class, when someone asked, "Who used all ...

lets play some football... players!

football is such a wonderful sport, but the whole... humm what do i call it? playing the football players? yeah thats a good call... the whole "Playing the football players" game is a whole other story! so i'm sure they have a million girls... so i call it karma. but lets get down to the story! so i have met quite a few ballers since i have been down here (and never when i catually got ready for the day!) and i have a few of theri phone numbers and a few of them have mine! it is a magical time because it is just sooo funny to see them get excited... (i have a rather large group of frosh that go to lunch and dinner with me now so they can just see these boys faces!) "i'm a magician!" so, there has been funny stories of how we have all met and we have all clearified that i am a mix! ... because really boys i look full?!?!? it's the silliest pick up line (my pick up line is i like your shirt?! i dont know.... but it works!) anyways... so last night at dinn...

PSA: You Didn't Win Halloween & Neither Did I

Last night my social media feed was filled with photos of friends attending their weekend parties in their Halloween costumes. There were a couple families and friend groups who were the cast of Napoleon Dynamite, a hilarious couple who went as their dogs, Curious George and the man in the Yellow Suite, and even Tess and Emily Tyler (Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen from Billboard Dad). People are so creative when it comes to Halloween costumes! I am so not! But then I saw a couple’s costume I was so unbelievable uncomfortable with. alloween It was on Snapchat. Two people, one had painted himself brown to depict a character, a “hero” from a TV show we all watched in high school. Not just face painted, but arms, neck, chest. Then they added the chains. This, to that couple was a costume, but this also has a name, and that name is “blackface”. Minstrel shows started in the mid to late 19 th century, where white actors would paint their face to depict blacks on stage. The acto...
