Baking days make me :]

So I'm feeling a lot better today! I didn't sleep all day and i can actually move-- SWINE FLU IS GONE!!! Alexis is ENGAGED! It’s about time! Haha. She has been since Friday but I haven’t seen her since then (says a lot about how often we as roommates hang out!). So when I saw her today I was oh so excited! Her ring is BEAUTIFUL!!! So that was exciting! It is also Bonnie’s birthday today! For her birthday I was going to do the dishes, but when I woke up I could hear the dishes clinking. So I RAN downstairs and made her put it all down. She had already cleaned the kitchen though, stinkin’ brat! But got the dishes done… 2 FULL loads, then a few extra dishes waitin’ in the washer now. Next we (meaning I) went grocery shopping. I did so well today! I got all the stuff on my list, and didn’t even get myself a prize… you see, i hate going grocery shopping, so i reward myself for going by getting a prize. some days it is nail stuff, others it is a treat, and my favorite is when the ne...

MONDAY!!! the secret life breakdown

I definitely slept ALL DAY! Kirstin got home from work at 7:30, and so i decided that maybe I should get something to eat while she was home… I mean I do love human interaction! I was feeling a lot better by then…. But then again I had been sleeping all day! While we were sitting there Kirsty Poo got a text inviting us to ice cream!!!!! So we went, and he bought it! YUMMMM!!!! So the picture of the day is of Kirstin and I (yup another attractive one!), mind you I had been sleeping all day, at ice cream. After ice cream we rushed home to watch Secret Life. I don’t know about all ya’ll but I am kinda bummed about this season. I was expecting so much more, so have been bummed this season. I am sad for Grace, because she thinks she killed her dad. Amy is ticking me off! She is so annoying and the world is out to get her, I mean FRICK let Ben watch the child. I do respect her for not giving into Ben and having sex with him. He is such an awkward child. I don’t know how I feel about Ricky th...

June 28

So, I’ve been slacking… but no worries! I have been taking pictures! Sunday was a good day. I went to church with Camille and Rachel and had a GREAT lesson on staying out of debt (maybe I should get a job?). I am glad I went. Then my mom made me some yummy breakfast for lunch and then I was on my way back to Logan. I had been introduced (that’s not the word I want but it’s what im going to use) to Swine Flu last Thursday (and you already read that RIGHT?) so I had informed myself on the symptoms because I was really afraid. I learned that you can start showing symptoms up to 3 days after and Sunday was 3 days. When I got back to my apartment I felt so sick and was so tired. Had a small fever and the chills. I was sure I was going to die! None of my roommates were home either, so I just decided to read my book and sit around and just relax. I didn’t actually read, I actually took a 4 hour nap, and still managed to be asleep again at 11. I was so tired that I took my picture of the day b...

PLAY BALL!

Championship game today! Dad Ben and Aaron did the game. It was so intense. Their game went 8 innings! And went all the way to the last call where the home team won 8-7. My dad and Ben did a really good job calling the game, and Aaron did too. My mom and I showed up to the field late after getting hooked on the MJ documentary on MTV this morning. I don’t know if any of you saw it, but it just talked about all his music videos. I didn’t realize how into social injustice and all the social problems he was. It was insane. I guess after what felt like a life time in reslif class I pay more attention to those issues. Today has been so much fun so far. I think I need a nap, but I love being home! Maybe I should just move back!

Old Maid...

Wedding mania has hit! I have been to one wedding a week for the last month and a half. This week I get the opportunity to go to 2. Last night (because I am a day late on my post) I got to go to Sam Thayne’s reception. She is such a pretty bride. I went with Amanda Filliaga and we ran into Lizzy Simmons and Whitney Talbot. We joked around a lot about being married so young. I don’t know how these girls are doing it!!! But I do know for sure that these girls are a lot more mature than I am. Tonight is my last of the weddings for awhile (until July 8 where 2 of my FHE kids are getting married to each other! :]) I’m glad to be done and don’t want the next wedding season to come ANY TIME SOON! Today’s (well yesterday’s) photo is of Me Amanda and Whitney as we snuck out during the couple’s first dance.

Elder Nathan Robert Jensen

So I didn’t really talk about my night in PG! I got the opportunity to go down to Pleasant Grove for Nathan’s mission call. It was so fun! I first went to Brooke Larsen’s house in South Jordan where Jordyn met up with us. We went shopping for a cute new bag and then also to the Summer Salad Social!!! Haha there were really good salads. Then Kelly and Erin joined us, it was our happy family of school friends on a ROAD TRIP! We then drove out to PG and got to the house before Nate did, but that’s okay because his mom, Lisa, loves us! We then just got to play around and meet all of Nate’s very attractive (but rather short) friends. I feel like he was holding back on us! He then got to open his mission call! Ventura, California, English speaking Mission, and he reports to the MTC on September 30th (in case you were wondering). I think my favorite part was the car ride back home with the girls. I missed them so much and it was just a huge DANCE PARTY!! I am so glad I made such good friends ...

Home tomorrow

Yet another day that didn’t go my way. I’m starting to get used to these, but also missing my mommy even more. I still haven’t gone grocery shopping because I am going home tomorrow, so I have a half loaf of bread (I checked for mold and didn’t see any) and the Spaghetti O’s my mom bought me when I was home earlier this week. I also have some of the canned jam so I can have toast in the morning… can’t complain. It’s been a rough week, because being away from my mom means I have to be responsible, and this week is showing more than ever I have a LOT of growing for that! Still trying to do the whole residency thing. It is a whole lot harder than it sounds and I really miss my mom yelling at me daily to get it done. I really am working on it though. The guy at the driver’s license place was a lot nicer than the lady at the DMV, that’s for sure… but he still made things difficult. I got to go watch Benner play baseball today in Smithfield. They won the game I watched in 7 innings, althoug...

Utah is DUMB!

I cannot believe how busy and stressful today was! Started with paying the speeding ticket! Uggh (I wasn’t speeding!). I started at the county office, and they sent me to the district court office (that’s right they are not attached… Or even on the SAME BLOCK!!!!!!). So I spent a good 5 minutes trying to figure out where I was supposed to park (haha it said court parking only and I wasn’t going into the court), then got in there and they wouldn’t let me walk to the stupid glass doors to pay the ticket because I had a camera in my bag. So I had to go back to the car (that’s when I snapped this BEAUTIFUL [haha] photo) put my camera in there and go back through security. Once I got back they also informed me my phone wasn’t allowed (mind you they could see me the whole time through the big GLASS doors), and made me turn it off. I had to stand there until it was all the way off! Then go in to pay my ticket and IT’S NOT UNDER MY NAME!!! The poor sweet lady was like, “Are you sure your name...

Project 365

I was introduced to Project 365 by an RA last year and she did hers on her facebook… but only made it about 2 weeks, so we will see how well I do. Project 365 is just a way to see how much you have grown and changed (for better or worse) through picture. I am going to go one step farther and add text so I can get better use out of this blog! Ha what do you say? So I guess today’s will just be the explanation of Project 365. So the only actual rule of Project 365 is that you have to take a picture a day. Some people take just a picture of whatever was important to them that day, which was made popular by Taylor McKnight in 2004. However, there are many variations of this project, so I think mine will be pictures of me (sing it with me:” She’s so vain she probably thinks this song is about her”) and then talk about what I did that day, so yay journal writing! See young women’s leaders, your lessons did come in handy! And you can read my journal! :) I have wanted to start this since Racha...
