My boyfriend cooks better than your boyfriend

I will challenge your boyfriend to a cook off with my boyfriend any day! Why is that? Because he is a phenomenal cook! I am the baker, he is the cook! Perfect match if I do say so myself! So here was my dinner tonight! Chicken (of his own creation) with parmesan asparagus, rice (not pictured) and an orange! It was fantastic!

For the chicken he cut slits in it and inserted honey butter inside the slits. This made for really moist chicken! He then used his secret dry rub (that I don't even know the recipe to), sometimes I think he thinks he is a pitmaster! I do know that he used Kroger Cajun Seasoning and a Jerk Seasoning. He cooked it with the dry rub on for a while until it was almost done and then brushed on his secret sauce (once again... PITMASTER). So sorry I can't give you the recipe, but I'm telling you-- come visit us and he will cook for you!

For the asparagus, just oil the greens, lay flat on the pan, and spread the (bottled) cheese and basil on top! Broil until the cheese is melted and the asparagus is tender.
And as always, for easy cleanup- use foil on the bottom of your pan!

So this was my plate, and even with my extreme headache tonight, I could not say no to eating this! It was fantastic!

So, like I said, I will challenge your boyfriend/husband to a cook off with my boyfriend any day!

AND I BET MY BOYFRIEND WINS!

Oh, man, that looks (and sounds)delectable! Mr. Last is a pretty fine Grillmaster himself. So. Challenge Accepted! You guys come here or we'll come there and we'll see whose boyfriend cooks better than whose. Either way, we (you and I) are the winners.

Seriously, Sara, we'd love to host you and Christian if you ever come our way.

You are so sweet Julie! You are on! We (Mr. Browne-Frazier and I) are planning a trip away from here out to LA and other fun places so maybe we will head out your way as well! :)

Who Used All the Black Crayon?

Guys, I am used to about 14 views each post. That's it (which is weird, because I post every blog link to my family's Facebook group and there are 40 of us in there... Thanks guys!). I was not expecting that many hits on one post, but I got it, and it has sparked a lot of conversation that I feel to be very productive. I have been so honored by the respect I have been given from those who’s opinions differ from mine, and the dialogue we have been able to have on the matter of race in today's society. Some of the best conversations have come from the, "But why?" question. But why is that offensive? On Facebook I shared this Vox link , so I won't get into that, but I do want to take some time to talk about taking offense. Life is a collection of experience. After one is written into our book, the next experience will be affected because of it. In kindergarten, I had a true Corrina, Corrina experience in class, when someone asked, "Who used all ...

PSA: You Didn't Win Halloween & Neither Did I

Last night my social media feed was filled with photos of friends attending their weekend parties in their Halloween costumes. There were a couple families and friend groups who were the cast of Napoleon Dynamite, a hilarious couple who went as their dogs, Curious George and the man in the Yellow Suite, and even Tess and Emily Tyler (Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen from Billboard Dad). People are so creative when it comes to Halloween costumes! I am so not! But then I saw a couple’s costume I was so unbelievable uncomfortable with. alloween It was on Snapchat. Two people, one had painted himself brown to depict a character, a “hero” from a TV show we all watched in high school. Not just face painted, but arms, neck, chest. Then they added the chains. This, to that couple was a costume, but this also has a name, and that name is “blackface”. Minstrel shows started in the mid to late 19 th century, where white actors would paint their face to depict blacks on stage. The acto...

July 2nd

So you can’t tell but it is like 11:30 in this picture. My day on the 2nd was full of a lot of nothing and I still couldn’t get myself to pack! I hadn’t taken a picture of myself all day so after I was ready for bed I remembered. This picture is kinda funny to me though because not only can you see the tutu and monkey tail from Arizona on my wall, but also how much uneven sun I am getting this summer. Stinking baseball games!
