Welcome newcomers?

Well being that i gave a bunch of people (AKA ALL MY MYSPACE FRIENDS) this link i figured i would just say something...... so here goes. i really like to make lists! they are amazing. i really think in a list, a very tangled list but a list none the rest.i also hate punctuation. like i dont get it, we were tryin to get in in english the oter day (yes i are in college) and then our class decided that it is important to know how to "write bad" so i dont like use it. Ummm also i am really tired and want to go to sleep but my roommate has some guests over and i dont like to sleep with random people in my room so i am just typing (it is called a fast write in english). um but the people in here are kinda driving me nuts because they like to pretend they are all hard but they arent and they just bug me. and one keeps farting in our room... okay this is a girls room you can excuse yourself! another thing that bugs me are football players. i dont know why they just do.
so i am really happy to be going to DC. it will be fun. that really all i have to say about that being that i dont know anything about what to be expecting. i dont even know what to pack, but i did do my laundry today. it was fun. my roommate and i owned the laundry room today so i didnt have to see anyone or wait and it was awesome. i also had 8 dollars on my laundry card, but now i am down to like 3.50 i think so i can do like 2 and a half loads of wash and not dry anything. thats exciting i guess...
oh and you all must check out the cake wreck blog. there should be a link on the side of this here page... i love it! thats all. and i'm so sorry you had to read this, except you didnt have to, so i am sorry you read all of this!!! :)

Who Used All the Black Crayon?

Guys, I am used to about 14 views each post. That's it (which is weird, because I post every blog link to my family's Facebook group and there are 40 of us in there... Thanks guys!). I was not expecting that many hits on one post, but I got it, and it has sparked a lot of conversation that I feel to be very productive. I have been so honored by the respect I have been given from those who’s opinions differ from mine, and the dialogue we have been able to have on the matter of race in today's society. Some of the best conversations have come from the, "But why?" question. But why is that offensive? On Facebook I shared this Vox link , so I won't get into that, but I do want to take some time to talk about taking offense. Life is a collection of experience. After one is written into our book, the next experience will be affected because of it. In kindergarten, I had a true Corrina, Corrina experience in class, when someone asked, "Who used all ...

PSA: You Didn't Win Halloween & Neither Did I

Last night my social media feed was filled with photos of friends attending their weekend parties in their Halloween costumes. There were a couple families and friend groups who were the cast of Napoleon Dynamite, a hilarious couple who went as their dogs, Curious George and the man in the Yellow Suite, and even Tess and Emily Tyler (Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen from Billboard Dad). People are so creative when it comes to Halloween costumes! I am so not! But then I saw a couple’s costume I was so unbelievable uncomfortable with. alloween It was on Snapchat. Two people, one had painted himself brown to depict a character, a “hero” from a TV show we all watched in high school. Not just face painted, but arms, neck, chest. Then they added the chains. This, to that couple was a costume, but this also has a name, and that name is “blackface”. Minstrel shows started in the mid to late 19 th century, where white actors would paint their face to depict blacks on stage. The acto...

My Chiari Life: the Journey to a Doughnut

"I think it's time to order an MRI. I've tried everything I can think of and it isn't helping. I'm afraid it might be a tumor."  I've had headaches all my life. I remember when I was 8, I had my first migraine. I was so grouchy and just wanted it dark and quiet, and for my mom to to cook anything because the smells made it worse. They blamed it on allergies and diagnosed me with "chronic sinus infections". Age 8 was when I first became familiar with medication. My anxiety and depression started in 2010, but the anxiety didn't become crippling until the migraines did as well, just a year later- my senior year of college. If I wasn't having panic attacks in my classes of 300 then I was in my bedroom hiding from the sun because I was sure my brain might explode. Let's just say, senior year wasn't my best.  Since 2011, Christian had been begging me to ask for brain scans but I continued to have faith in my doctors. From my pediatri...
